Summary

This study tested whether doing moderate exercise right before a therapy session helps people with major depression get more out of their treatment. Forty adults either exercised or rested before each of 8 weekly cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) sessions. Researchers measured how well patients connected with their therapist and how much they engaged in positive activities, aiming to see if exercise primes the brain for better therapy results.
