First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 28, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tested a 12-week program called the Active Brain Construction Program in 75 older adults living in the community. The program used coaching techniques like goal-setting and problem-solving to encourage healthy lifestyle changes that may reduce dementia risk. Participants were split into three groups: one with a coach, one without, and a control group. The goal was to see if coaching helped people stick to brain-healthy habits and improve their thinking skills.
