New combo therapy aims to ease cancer's emotional toll

NCT ID NCT05126823

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a therapy program that combines in-person sessions with a smartphone app can help cancer patients feel more flexible in dealing with difficult thoughts and emotions. About 120 adults with breast, lung, or colorectal cancer will be randomly assigned to one of three groups: the combined program, in-person therapy only, or usual care. The goal is to see if the combined approach improves emotional well-being, reduces anxiety and depression, and enhances quality of life.
