Talking therapy eases stress for parents of kids with autism

Summary
This study tested whether Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can improve the mental health of parents caring for children with autism. Thirty parents in Saudi Arabia attended online ACT sessions for five weeks and filled out questionnaires before and after. The goal was to see if the therapy could reduce stigma, improve mindfulness, and lower stress, anxiety, and depression.
