Summary
This study tested whether playing a customized sound for 3 or 20 minutes could temporarily reduce the loudness of tinnitus (ringing in the ears). 45 adults with chronic tinnitus took part. Researchers first found the best sound for each person, then played it for 20 minutes to see how much it helped.
