First seen May 18, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests if a special 12-week knee brace program works as well as surgery for people with a torn ACL. About 180 active adults aged 16-40 will be randomly assigned to either the brace or surgery group. Both groups will do physical therapy, and researchers will track knee pain, function, and quality of life for 18 months to see which treatment is more effective.
