Chewable tablet tested to tame 'Rebound' heartburn when quitting acid pills

NCT ID NCT07291700

Summary

This study is looking at how well an over-the-counter chewable tablet called Talcid works to relieve heartburn and other stomach symptoms. These symptoms can flare up when people stop taking certain long-term prescription acid-reducing medications (PPIs). About 167 adults in Germany who have recently stopped their PPI and are experiencing these 'rebound' symptoms will use Talcid as needed for four weeks and report on their relief and satisfaction.
