New study aims to protect moms from dangerous blood pressure spikes

Summary
This study tests a program to help prenatal clinics improve how they measure and manage high blood pressure in pregnant and postpartum patients. About 4,000 clinic staff and providers in North Carolina will receive training, coaching, and tools to better recognize and treat severe hypertension. The goal is to see if these strategies lead to more accurate blood pressure checks and better patient education, ultimately reducing risks for new mothers.
