Summary

This study tested whether acetazolamide, a medication, could reduce the severity of breathing pauses during REM sleep in people with obstructive sleep apnea. The trial involved 11 participants who do not use CPAP machines. Researchers compared one night with the drug to one night with a placebo to see its effect on breathing patterns and muscle activity.
