First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to prevent HPV by asking local communities in Nigeria to come up with their own messages and strategies. About 350 mother-daughter pairs took part, with daughters aged 9-14 getting the HPV vaccine and mothers aged 30-65 doing a simple self-test for HPV. The goal was to see if community-driven ideas could increase prevention rates.
