New hope for leukemia patients with weak hearts: safer drug trial launches

Summary
This study compares a targeted drug called acalabrutinib to other standard treatments for adults with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) who also have moderate to severe heart failure. The main goal is to see if acalabrutinib causes fewer heart-related side effects. About 60 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either acalabrutinib or another treatment chosen by their doctor.
