Medical Device's hidden impact on lungs under investigation
NCT ID NCT07154589
Summary
This study aims to understand how a medical device used to hold an open surgical wound together affects patients' breathing. Researchers will measure lung pressure, volume, and oxygen levels in 18 sedated ICU patients before and after adjusting the device. The goal is to see if changes to the breathing machine can help reduce any negative effects on the lungs.
