New approach aims to better align cancer care with patient goals

NCT ID NCT05408507

Summary

This pilot study is testing whether a new care planning framework called ABC123 is practical and acceptable for older adults with advanced, incurable cancer. The framework combines expertise from geriatrics, oncology, and palliative care to help ensure treatment plans match what matters most to patients. Researchers are following 70 participants for six months to see if this approach works and to gather feedback from patients and their care teams.
