Hidden danger: brain aneurysm patients may have silent belly artery bulges
NCT ID NCT07312565
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looks at how often people who have had a ruptured brain aneurysm also have an abdominal aortic aneurysm (a bulge in the main belly artery). About 233 adults who had a brain aneurysm bleed at least one year ago will get a painless belly ultrasound. The goal is to find hidden aneurysms early so they can be monitored or treated, but this is an observation-only study with no direct treatment.
