Supercharged MRI aims to spot hidden brain cancer sooner

NCT ID NCT07175077

Summary

This study is testing if a very powerful 7T MRI scanner can detect tiny brain tumors earlier than standard MRI scanners in people with small-cell lung cancer. It involves 20 patients who have chosen not to receive preventive brain radiation. Researchers will compare the 7T scan results to the patients' regular care scans over 12 months to see if the stronger scanner finds tumors sooner.
