New PET scan could sharply improve prostate cancer staging

Summary
This study tests a new type of PET scan using a radioactive tracer called 64Cu-SAR-bisPSMA to see if it can better detect prostate cancer that has spread to nearby lymph nodes. About 383 men with high-risk prostate cancer who are planning to have their prostate removed will get the scan before surgery. The results will be compared to the actual findings during surgery to see how accurate the scan is.
