First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study at the University of Oxford looks at how a drug called pimavanserin, which blocks a specific serotonin receptor in the brain, affects memory, emotional processing, and decision-making. Researchers will give the drug or a placebo to 80 healthy adults aged 18-45 and compare their performance on cognitive tasks. The goal is to better understand this brain pathway, which could help develop new treatments for depression.
