NCT ID NCT03581136

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to give radiation to early-stage breast cancer using a device called the GammaPod. Instead of many sessions, patients get just 5 precise doses aimed at the tumor while sparing healthy tissue. The goal is to see if this approach keeps the cancer from coming back and gives better cosmetic results. About 74 women with small, early breast cancers are taking part.
