This completed study looked at whether 5-alpha reductase inhibitors (5-ARIs), drugs used to treat an enlarged prostate, can also reduce the risk of heart disease caused by hardening of the arteries. Researchers analyzed health records from over 10,000 men in the UK and China. The goal was to see if these medications offer extra heart protection beyond their prostate benefits.
