Triple-Attack CAR-T cells take aim at stubborn neuroblastoma
NCT ID NCT04637503
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This clinical trial tests a new type of immunotherapy called 4SCAR-T, which uses a patient's own immune cells engineered to recognize and attack three different markers (GD2, PSMA, and CD276) on neuroblastoma cancer cells. The study enrolls children and adults (ages 1 to 65) with neuroblastoma that has come back or not responded to standard treatments. The goal is to see if this multi-targeted approach is safe and can shrink tumors or slow disease progression.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
GD2, PSMA and CD276 CAR-T cells
What this could lead to
If successful, this approach could offer a new treatment option for children and adults with hard-to-treat neuroblastoma, potentially improving disease control and survival.
What could go wrong
This is an early-phase trial (Phase 1/2) with a small number of participants, so results may not apply to everyone. CAR-T therapy can cause serious side effects like cytokine release syndrome or neurological issues.
