This study measures levels of a substance called 4beta-hydroxycholesterol in the blood of people with liver cirrhosis. It compares these levels to those in people with pneumonia, Crohn's disease, or ulcerative colitis. The goal is to understand how cirrhosis and certain medications affect this marker. About 120 participants are being recruited from a hospital in Finland.
