Flickering light tested as new depression treatment

Summary

This study is testing whether daily exposure to a special 40 Hz flickering light can help reduce depression symptoms. Researchers will enroll 60 adults with major depression who will use a light device at home for one hour daily for six weeks. The goal is to see if this non-invasive light therapy can improve mood, thinking, and sleep quality in people with depression.
