Summary

This study will test whether 3D endoscopic visualization helps surgeons perform spine surgery tasks faster and with fewer errors compared to standard 2D vision. Six neurosurgery residents will practice on a spine model using both technologies. The goal is to see if 3D can improve precision and training for real surgeries.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to

If 3D visualization proves better, it could improve surgical training and outcomes for spine surgery patients.

What could go wrong

This is a very small pilot study with only 6 surgeons using a model, not real patients. Results may not apply to actual surgery.
