3D images aim to boost confidence in breast reconstruction choices

NCT ID NCT05025020

Summary

This study is testing whether adding an interactive 3D visualization tool to a standard surgical consultation helps breast cancer patients feel more satisfied with the information they receive about reconstruction options. Researchers want to see if women who use the 3D tool are happier with their final decisions and with their breasts after surgery. The study involves 88 women who are planning a mastectomy and are having their first consultation for reconstruction.
