New 3D scanner aims to give surgeons X-Ray vision during spine operations
NCT ID NCT05195593
Summary
This study tested a new 3D scanning device designed to help surgeons during spine operations. The goal was to see if the scanner could accurately match a live picture of the exposed spine bone to the patient's own MRI or CT scan, helping the surgeon know exactly where they are working. The study was very small and has ended, focusing on whether the technology was consistent and useful for the surgical team.
