3D printed 'Scaffold' aims to improve breast reconstruction after cancer
NCT ID NCT07365267
Summary
This study is testing a new, custom-made mesh that dissolves over time to see if it improves the cosmetic results and safety of breast reconstruction right after a mastectomy. It is for women with breast cancer who are having their breast removed and an implant placed immediately. The mesh is 3D printed to fit each patient and is designed to support the implant and help the body's own tissue grow.
