New MRI scan could predict pancreatic cancer outcomes without surgery
NCT ID NCT06526442
First seen Mar 02, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study is testing whether a special MRI technique called 3D magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) can accurately measure the stiffness of pancreatic tumors and surrounding scar tissue. Researchers will compare these measurements with lab tests and use them to predict how well patients respond to chemotherapy. The goal is to find a non-invasive way to guide treatment decisions for people with pancreatic cancer.
