Holograms help doctors fix aortic aneurysms in early test

NCT ID NCT06008613

First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This early study tested a 3D holographic system to help guide doctors during a procedure to repair an abdominal aortic aneurysm (a bulging blood vessel). Two patients participated, and the system was used alongside standard X-ray imaging to place a stent graft. The goal was to see if the holographic guidance was safe and worked well, not to cure the condition.
