3D heart maps aim for safer valve surgery

NCT ID NCT07398911

ENROLLING_BY_INVITATION Disease control Sponsor: Xijing Hospital Source: ClinicalTrials.gov ↗

Summary

This study is testing whether using 3D computer simulations helps doctors place a replacement heart valve more accurately during a minimally invasive procedure. It will compare outcomes in about 350 patients with severe aortic valve leakage, where one group gets the procedure guided by the 3D simulation and the other does not. The main goal is to see if the simulation leads to better valve positioning and fewer serious complications like stroke or heart failure.
