New hope for tough brain tumors: targeted radiation trial launches

Summary
This study tests a drug called 177Lu-DOTATATE for people with recurrent meningioma, a type of brain tumor that has come back after surgery or radiation. The drug delivers radiation directly to tumor cells by targeting a protein found on these tumors. About 136 adults will be randomly assigned to receive the drug or standard care, and researchers will track how long the tumor stays under control.
