New hope for Hard-to-Treat brain tumors: targeted radiation trial launches

Summary
This study tests a drug called 177Lu-DOTATATE for people with recurrent meningioma, a type of brain tumor that has come back after surgery or radiation. The drug delivers radiation directly to tumor cells that have a specific marker (SSTR). About 136 adults will be randomly assigned to receive the drug or standard care. The goal is to see if the drug can slow tumor growth and improve survival.
