New COVID-19 drug PDI204 begins first human safety tests

This early-stage trial tests whether a new drug called PDI204 is safe for healthy adults. 32 volunteers will receive a single dose either by IV or injection, or a placebo. Researchers will monitor side effects and how the body processes the drug over 90 days.
