Gum cell injection could ease knee arthritis pain

This early-stage study tests a single injection of cells from donated gum tissue into the knee joint of 15 people with knee osteoarthritis. The goal is to see if the treatment is safe and possible. The cells have shown anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects in animals.
