Can a common steroid help cancer patients breathe easier?
Symptom relief OngoingThis study tests whether dexamethasone, a steroid, can reduce shortness of breath in people with cancer. About 135 patients with moderate to severe dyspnea and lung involvement will take the drug or a placebo. The main goal is to see if their breathing improves after one week.
