Manganese poisoning

Manganese poisoning is associated with chronic inhalation of manganese particles by individuals who work with manganese ore. Clinical features include confusion; hallucinations; and an extrapyramidal syndrome (Parkinson disease, secondary) that includes rigidity; dystonia; retropulsion; and tremor.
