Blood cancer transplant study aims to reduce dangerous side effects

NCT ID NCT03555851

First seen Jan 08, 2026

Summary

This study is for adults with blood cancers like leukemia who are getting a stem cell transplant. Researchers want to learn how a person's genes and the amount of a drug called cyclophosphamide in their blood affect the risk of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), a serious side effect. The goal is to find better ways to prevent GVHD while keeping the transplant's cancer-fighting benefits. About 120 participants will be enrolled.
