New combo therapy aims to boost stroke recovery in major trial
NCT ID NCT07026318
First seen Oct 31, 2025
Summary
This study tests whether adding the drug tirofiban to standard clot-removal treatment helps people recover better after a severe stroke caused by a blocked artery in the brain. About 716 adults who have had a stroke within the past 24 hours will receive either tirofiban or a placebo right after the clot-removal procedure. The main goal is to see if more people can live independently 90 days later, while also checking for any bleeding risks.
