Brain zaps may mend hearts after stroke: new trial launches

NCT ID NCT07482501

First seen Mar 31, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether adding repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) to standard rehab can improve heart rate variability and quality of life in 44 stroke survivors with heart-related nerve issues. Participants, aged 35-80 and at least 3 months post-stroke, will receive rTMS alongside conventional therapy. The goal is to see if this brain stimulation can help regulate heart function and ease symptoms.
