New stroke treatment could help patients with medium-artery blockages

NCT ID NCT07347665

First seen Jan 17, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether removing a blood clot from a medium-sized brain artery (M2 segment) helps people recover better after a stroke. About 200 adults who have had a stroke and are not helped by clot-busting medicine will be randomly assigned to get either standard care or standard care plus a procedure to remove the clot. The main goal is to see if more people can live independently 90 days later.
