Buddy system for PTSD: peer support boosts therapy for women veterans

NCT ID NCT07250061

First seen Jan 04, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a peer support program (WoVeN) to a self-help version of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) helps women veterans with PTSD feel better and improve their mental well-being. About 100 women who have served in the U.S. military and have PTSD symptoms will take part. The goal is to find a low-cost, easy-to-access way to reduce PTSD and depression, especially for those who face barriers to traditional therapy.
