Pelvic training may help stroke survivors walk again
NCT ID NCT07609407
First seen Jun 06, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether special pelvic stability exercises can improve leg function in people who had a stroke within the past few months. Thirty-four participants will either get pelvic training plus standard leg therapy, or standard therapy alone, for eight weeks. Researchers will measure pelvic tilt, leg movement, and walking speed to see if the pelvic exercises make a difference.

What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
pelvic stability training (a procedure)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a simple exercise program to help people walk better after a stroke.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 34 people, so results may not apply to everyone. It tests a physical therapy technique, not a new drug, so the benefit may be modest.
Conditions
The condition(s) this trial relates to.
