What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

Kidney Protective Jacket (a thermal insulating silicone device)

What this could lead to

If successful, this device could help protect donor kidneys during transplant surgery, potentially reducing complications like delayed graft function.

What could go wrong

This is a very small early safety study with only 20 participants, so it cannot prove the device improves outcomes. There is also a risk of allergic reaction to silicone.
