Needle and magnet combo aims to reboot movement after stroke

NCT ID NCT07113990

First seen Nov 01, 2025

Summary

This study tests whether adding electroacupuncture to standard brain stimulation (rTMS) can improve arm and leg movement in people who had a stroke. About 180 adults who had their first stroke 2 weeks to 6 months ago will receive either real or fake electroacupuncture alongside rTMS. Researchers will measure motor function using standard tests and brain scans to see how the treatments work together.
