Botox for leg pain? new study tests injection treatment for athletes

Summary

This study tests whether botulinum injections into the lower leg can reduce pain during sport for people with chronic exertional compartment syndrome (CECS). 50 adults with confirmed CECS will receive either the botulinum injection or a placebo (saline). They will report pain levels and leg function over 24 weeks. The goal is to see if this treatment helps them exercise longer with less pain.
