Summary
This study tests whether giving zinc supplements along with standard antibiotics can help young babies (0-59 days old) with severe infections survive and recover faster. About 3,250 infants in Tanzania will receive either zinc or a placebo for 14 days. The goal is to see if zinc reduces death and treatment failure.
