Summary
This study is testing two different daily doses of zinc (25 mg and 40 mg) in 34 people with sickle cell disease, aged 15 to 40. The goal is to find out which dose is best at improving bone health markers and is safe to take. Results will help design a larger future study on zinc's long-term effects on bone health in sickle cell disease.
