Fortified cookies tested to boost Body's fight against TB
NCT ID NCT07180329
Summary
This study tested whether eating cookies fortified with zinc and selenium could help improve the immune response in people being treated for tuberculosis. Researchers gave specially baked cookies to 90 tuberculosis patients to see if the added minerals would help their bodies fight the infection better. The results suggested the supplements might help modulate the immune system and improve some health measurements.
