This study tested whether adding zinc and selenium to cookies could help tuberculosis patients fight the infection. Researchers gave the fortified cookies to 90 adults with TB and measured changes in their body measurements, blood, and immune markers. The results suggest these minerals may help improve the body's immune response against TB.
