Summary
This study tested whether a new oral drug called zelquistinel can quickly improve mood in adults with major depression. 251 participants received either the drug or a placebo, and researchers measured depression symptoms using a standard rating scale. The main goal was to see if the drug worked better than placebo within one day, with follow-up at three weeks.
