Can yoga help teens feel better? new study pits it against talk therapy
NCT ID NCT07475845
Summary
This study is testing whether a yoga-based program or group cognitive-behavioral therapy (talk therapy) is more practical and acceptable for helping teens with depression. Researchers will enroll 96 adolescents aged 12-18 with elevated depression symptoms across two cities. The main goal is to see if the programs are feasible to run and if teens will attend and like them, while also checking for early signs of improvement in mood and anxiety over 6 months.
