NCT ID NCT07195019
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a program combining yoga and mindful self-compassion can help women who have experienced interpersonal violence and feel distressed. About 48 women will be randomly assigned to either the yoga program or a general women's wellbeing education group. The main goal is to see if the program is feasible and acceptable, with a secondary look at whether it reduces depression, anxiety, and stress.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Integrative Yoga & Mindful Self-Compassion training
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could offer a practical, non-drug way to reduce distress and improve mood in women who have experienced interpersonal violence.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage trial focused on feasibility, not on proving effectiveness. The results may not apply to all women, and the benefits may be modest or no better than a general wellbeing education program.
