NCT ID NCT07340840
First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a gentle yoga program could help older adults in nursing homes feel less depressed and improve their heart health. Thirty-six residents aged 65 and older either took part in supervised yoga sessions twice a week for 10 weeks or continued their usual routine. The yoga included easy poses, breathing exercises, and relaxation. Researchers measured depression levels and heart rate variability before and after the program to see if yoga made a difference.
